Whats a really good wine I can get from the grocery store?

I prefer a red or white wine…

Mostly on the dry side and definately not a dessert wine. I like a really smooth taste as opposed to something too heavy or pungent.

My wine vocabularly is not there so I hope someone can help me out.

Im willing to spend up to $50 bucks but not more.

My dad recently got a wine chiller for the house. Manual wasn’t any good except for technical and operation answers. We’ve never owned a wine chiller so is there a specific arrangement for the red, white, sparkling and etc?

How many cases of wine should I buy for a conference wine reception for approx. 30 people?

If a case of wine contains 12 bottles then by my guessing, two cases would be sufficient to provide each person with roughly four glasses each with some to spare. I’m keen to do this as cheaply as possible due to budget constrictions but also, don’t want to run out of wine! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You hear of putting red wine cooking sauce or white wine cooking sauce on food. What would happen if you didn’t cook the wine cooking sauce and drank it like you would regular wine? If I just took a bottle of red or white wine cooking sauce, and poured a glass, would I be drinking alcohol? What would happen to me? Would it be bad for me?

What is the best wine for a romantic evening with my Fiancee? I am no wine expert, but I believe she enjoys Ziphandel. I am planning on spending a nice, romantic evening with her once I return from Iraq. So after a great dinner and maybe a little time in the hot tub, I want to just sit in front of the fireplace, drink a little wine, and hopefully get busy.

How long is white wine good for cooking once opened and stored in the refrigerator?

I normally just use the wine specified as “cooking wine” but I’ve been told the regular (and even cheap) white wines taste better even in cooking. But, I wouldn’t use a lot at a time, and worry it would go bad while in the refrigerator for lengths of time.
