Did you know that the original Declaration of Independence in the National Archives is protected in it's glass case by Argon in order to protect the Vellum paper against the ravages of Oxygen? The patented ULTRA WINE SAVER gently pumps ARGON at a constant low pressure into the tube and out through the difuser, the Argon then gently floats down onto the wine. Argon being heavier than the air in the bottle forms a barrier blanket covering the wine and protecting it from oxygen, reducing the changes in flavor and bouquet of your wine weeks at a time. why our patent regulator matter: Without a regulator, as the gas inside the cartridge began to run out, the "flow rate" of Argon comming out would never be consistant, but because it IS consistant regardless of how much Argon is left in the canister, the Flow Rate is 1.4 cubic inches per second; which in turn is about 7 cubic inches of Argon in a 5 second application....which in turn creates a 1 " inch layer in a 750 ml bottle of wine. 10 seconds would give 2 " inches of argon etc... and lastly....the regulator makes a cool "gurgling" sound and who doesn't like gadgets that make cool noises? Each of the three (3) cartridges is filled with 124 cubic inches of 99.99% pure Argon. one cartridges holds enough for 18 bottles of wine generally--based on a 5 second application and the three (3) silicone stoppers are dishwasher safe and are much better to use than putting the moldy dirt covered top of the cork upside down to restop your wine

I am a bachelor and love to drink wine. Unfortunately before buying the ultra wine saver I had to either drink the whole bottle or settle for shoddy preservation from "the wine pump". The ultra wine saver really words and there is a noticeable difference between the argon sprayer and other preservation products I tried.br /br /Thought it was a little expensive at first but once you break down the costs it isnt too bad per bottle. Also very nice packaging to make a great gift!
