Product Description Like a body's elegant silhouette, this lead crystal wine decanter brings eye-catching beauty to your table while offering the pinnacle of elegant design. By Riedel, the renowned 300-year-old Austrian wine glass experts. Shown on right.
Amazon.com Review Made in Austria by the world's most-renowned wineglass maker (Riedel Crystal, founded in 1756), this decanter allows sediment to settle, clarifying any older red wine. Even with a young, sediment-free wine, the decanter makes a beautiful serving vessel by displaying the wine's color. It's machine blown of brilliant 24 percent lead crystal and conforms to Riedel's exacting standards: colorless, transparent, and thin walled. It holds 64 ounces, ample for two 750-milliliter bottles of wine, and measures 11 inches high. Its graceful, outwardly curved neck provides a secure grip when pouring. Riedel crystal is used by fine restaurants all over the world and thus must stand up to frequent trips through a dishwasher. But because lead crystal has a soft, coarse surface to convey intense aromas, Riedel recommends that the decanter be hand washed. I--Fred Brack/I

Tasty Decanter August 23, 2008 Not sure this should be called a magnum decanter but it is just the right size for a 750 . It is a nice shape and not an enormous footprint on the shelf . A little pricey but a very nice decanter
Great decanter for a great price. April 17, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this decanter for my dad for his birthday. You automatically expect quality since this is Riedel, but until you see this in person you just can't describe how elegant it is. The description says that it will hold 2 bottles of wine, but my suggestion is to buy it to hold one bottle, which gives the wine plenty of room to breathe. Definitely a great gift, looks much more expensive than it actually is, quite a good buy.
Very Elegant January 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Classic, elegant and versatile decanter. Very easy to pour from and open wines up beautifully.
