Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Is your wine safe? See proof! The world's first wine preserver that actually shows the vacuum, no more guessing. Simply insert the patented stopper, pump until the needle reads in the "Red Zone" and you have created an air tight seal that will keep your wine tasting better, longer. Extra stoppers are available. Set comes with 1 pump 1 stopper. Will fit any size wine bottle. Size: Pump - 5"H x 1-1/2"W

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Much nicer than my old ones   August 25, 2008
I had a set of inexpensive vacuum seals I was using that never would connect in the bottle and never held the seal. I really like this product because the seals connected right away, and you can immediately see what the seal level is, so there is no guessing as to whether or not the seal is held. Quite easy to pump, solidly built, good stuff.

4 out of 5 stars Worked after some experimenting...   July 31, 2008
At first it would rarely pump any air out of the bottle. Then, I moistened the stopper and it sealed immediately. If you are struggling with it, you should know that it will register on the gauge after just 1-2 pumps when there is a seal.

As for performance, it definitely slows down the degradation/oxidation of the wine involved.
