Product Description As a symbol, the dragonfly has been around for many centuries. It is associated with water, and the spring rebirth, and is also considered a messenger symbol. Here it is embossed into sturdy French glassware that is durable and dishwasher safe. The oldest glass factory in France, La Rochere was founded in 1475, seventeen years before Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas! Adorned with raised relief decorations that symbolize France, each pattern of La Rochere glass is a timeless classic. Uniquely clear, La Rochere products are produced by melting, at around 1450 degrees C., a mixture of sand, soda, and lime to create silico-sodocalcic glass. Various other elements are added to refine and improve brilliance to create heavy-duty glassware that's perfect for every day. Wine goblet dimensions: 3.5" x 5.5", 9. oz. capacity.

Good for everyday February 27, 2007 I have had these over a year now and love them in the spring and summer when we have a casual summer BBQ or cocktail with freinds. They are simple and pretty with a nice weight to them. They are inexpensive if one breaks it is no problem. I serve rum drinks, wine, or mint juleps out of them. Very nice for the $.
Dragonfly wine goblets January 19, 2007 Pleased with the size, style and weight of these golets. Well received as a Christmas gift to my daughter.
