Perfect for a substantial serving of full-bodied red wine, a fine Barbera vintage, or any assortment of beverages from fancy cocktails to chilled water, these large 19-ounce goblets are an excellent choice for entertaining. Suitable with any setting and decor, the classic profile and brilliant clarity, blown from pure lead-free crystal, complements other stemware in the elegant Michelangelo Masterpiece collection. Both classy and functional July 20, 2008 These 19 1/2 oz goblets are the perfect size for a scoop of ice cream and a can of soda. So if you are addicted to ice cream floats, these are for you!br /Also, they are nicey balanced, and easy to grasp. They are great looking even when hung alongside your wine glasses. And I can comfortably fit my (female) hand into the opening for easy hand-washing. br /They don't break easily. I had my set for years until the neighbor in the apartment next door burned down the building. I will purchase a replacement set soon. Thank goodness they are so affordable!
Awesome goblets! June 12, 2008 These are just perfect, and, what a great price at just over $14!! I guess I happened to catch some kind of special deal, so, I quickly ordered two sets, and I couldn't be happier. They are a nice weight, not too heavy or too light. I'ts great to have an everyday set that can also be used for nicer occasions. Thank you Amazon for an incredible buy!
Fancy goblets for everyday use. They WILL fit in *some* dishwashers. August 31, 2007 One of the reviewers mentioned that the goblets didn't fit in their dishwasher (too tall for the top rack). We have a dishwasher that allows the top rack to be angled to accomodate taller items, so they will fit in the two rows closest to the lowest end. (The red and white wine glasses in this collection will only fit on the last row on the lowest end)br /br /We've had these goblets for about 5 years and they get used everyday (no kids, tho), and we've only lost one to a stress crack in the dishwasher so far. I love them! They make every day meals look fancier.
Great goblets for a reasonable price. March 15, 2007 These are nice and large for water so they don't constantly need refilling. They're also great for beer or ice tea. The style is very simple, so they won't clash with other crystal or stemware, such as ones with etched glass or patterns. I would definitely recommend.
Great Glassware--but doesn't fit in the Dishwasher! February 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered six of these glasses, and was I ever impressed with them when they were delivered. Very nice quality crystal--good ring to the glass when you flick at the rim. Perfect size--I want to use them for iced-tea, water, beer, any large serving of liquid. A bit TOO large, in my humble opinion, for wine. 19 oz of wine is a bit MUCH! br /br /My only problem with the glassware is that they don't fit on the top drawer of my dishwasher. I have to put them on the bottom drawer. Then, that means the dishes that are usually on the bottom drawer have to be tipped over in the top drawer. When I'm alone in the house (99.9% of the time), that's not a problem. But, with guests and lots of diners, I have a bit of a problem with that.br /br /The four-star rating is because of the problem with the dishwasher, not at all the glassware's problem!
